OLMC Liturgical Ministries
Altar Servers are made up of young people of the school and parish who elect to serve at the altar. Altar Servers participate in the entrance procession by carrying the cross and candles. They assist the priest with the book, lead the Gospel procession, help to set the altar for the celebration of the Eucharist, lead forward the Offertory procession with the collection and the gifts of bread and wine, ring the bell at the consecration, and lead out all the ministers at the end of Mass.

Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers & Greeters), assist at Mass by welcoming parishioners, distributing the missalettes, worship aids and bulletins. The children at the 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mass are dismissed as we begin the Liturgy of the Word. They go with their catechists to hear and discuss the readings at a level they can more easily understand. We welcome adult and youth volunteers to help with this ministry.
The Liturgy Committee meets periodically to discuss the worship life of the parish. Together with the pastor, the committee plans special liturgies, oversees the church environment and decoration, consults about musical selection and the various choirs, and arranges the training and scheduling of lectors, communion ministers, altar servers and ministers of hospitality.
